In Brief
Begin your journey to the Ancient world with a private tour to the Acropolis of Athens and the Parthenon.
A masterpiece of architecture, painting and sculpturing which sealed the fame of Athens through the centuries
became the symbol of the 5th century B.C., known as the "Golden age of Athens”. At the same time you will
retrace also the footsteps of St. Paul, the Apostle of Nations.
First we’ll visit the place- a steep bulk rock- very close to the Acropolis where St. Paul used to stand and address
the Athenian people, telling them about the existence of the one and only God, overlooking the Parthenon and
the Acropolis hill.
Then we’ll follow his footsteps to Ancient Corinth, another glorious city state with a huge contribution to the Ancient world. According to historical evidence of Orthodoxy, Saint Paul was the first of the Apostles who came in Greece to preach the word of the Gospel and Christianity in 49 A.D. Paul visited Corinth twice, the second time he stayed in Corinth for almost 2 years preaching about the new religion. Corinth is also known to Christians from the two letters of Saint Paul preserved in The New Testament, 1st Corinthians and 2nd Corinthians.
This tour will also take you to visit the Corinth canal in the Isthmus of Corinth, a marvel of mechanics that
connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf. It was a project that had inspired the tyrant of Corinth
Periander back in the late 7th century B.C (602 B.C), only to be completed 25 centuries after the conception
of its original idea, on 25 July 1893 in the presence of King George I of Greece. Discover and explore the
ancient passage from the Corinthian to Saronic Gulf and the submergible bridge to the East.
