Our one-day Nemea Valley tour begins in Athens. Hop on one of our modern and luxurious vehicles and we’ll transfer you to the rolling hills of the Valley. We’ll start with a short stop to admire the vista atop the Corinth Canal and to take instagram-ready photo.

Upon arrival, explore the archaeological site of Nemea where among others you’ll see the impressive Ancient Stadium that was built in 330 B.C and still holds games to this day!

Of course, we couldn’t visit the Nemea Valley without stopping at some of the wineries that have made the region famous. We’ll visit two boutique local wineries for tastings, where you can learn about the winemaking process as you sample the end product. Soak up the charming rural setting as you taste your way through the region’s sophisticated, ruby red variety of Agiorgitiko, a captivating wine with aromatic complexity and a smooth finish. You will discover for yourself the excellence of this variety, as well as varieties such as Roditis, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. accompanied by a platter of cheeses, and bread sticks specially selected to complement the labels. Be sure to pick up a few bottles to take home with you!

End your Greek wine endeavors and the exploration of the region of Nemea in the best way possible: a traditional Greek meal made with fresh, local products. As our tour comes to the end enjoy your afternoon with good food, well company and of course, the finest wines of the Nemea region, before hitting the road and returning to Athens in comfort and luxury!

Post Covid 19 Policy:

Vehicles will be sanitized before every pick up. Hand sanitizing done before departure and after every major stop. There can be maximum 6 clients in an 8 seater minivan to secure social distance among participants (for shared small group tours only). Face masks available for clients. Guides will wear facemasks. Fresh trash bag will be place in every vehicle and waste will be destroyed at the end of the tours.

Traveler pickup is offered

Pick up and drop off is included from all centrally located Athens hotels and apartments. Just inform us during the booking of the hotel you are staying at, or apartment address. If the hotel /apartment is not accessible (e.g narrowness, pedestrian area) we will appoint a nearby meeting point for picking you up. You will receive an email or text msg from us with the exact pick up time the day before the start of the tour.

What should I bring with me?

Since your visit includes a fair bit of walking, it is recommended that you

• Wear light hiking shoes or comfortable, rubber sole shoes
• During the summer months, bring along with you a hat, sun glasses, sunscreen and wear light-colored clothing
• Waterproof jacket/membrane (for the rainy days)
• Your own personal water bottle. As part of our environmental policy and actions, we are committed to eliminating the use of plastic water bottles.
• Prepare yourself for an exciting experience & bring along your camera so you can capture the best moments of the activity, the impressive landscapes and the stunning view from Mystras castle upper gate overlooking the valley which will leave you spellbound.

Can you pick us up from our hotel?

We offer a pick-up, free of charge, for hotels or apartments that are located in downtown Athens.

For hotels or apartments outside Athens center we offer pick-ups at additional cost with a 10% discount.

Is it difficult for older people to follow the group?

The Meteora monasteries have been built on top of huge rock formations. In this tour participants will have to climb a number of stairs and follow an uphill and downhill route successively, in order to enter the monasteries. Participants are required to have a good physical condition in order to enter the monasteries and enjoy their visit.

Should you chose so, you will be assigned an excellent, flexible guide and the walk will follow a moderate pace, in order to be a pleasant experience for everyone.

Fortunately, the weather in Greece is mild and warm during the most time of the year. In case of rain, though, you will be timely notified about any changes in your scheduled walk.
